Speakers Presentation Guidelines
All speakers giving a presentation are requested to validate their presentation
in the Speakers' Support Centre (SSC) a minimum of 2 hours before the session
starts or the day before if the session is at 8:15! Presentations received after
this deadline cannot be guaranteed optimal audiovisual support.
Peak hours of operation in the SSC are during coffee breaks and lunch breaks. In
order to maximise your time in the SSC, and the attention that we are able to
give you, we highly recommend visiting early in the morning or during the
sessions.
The accepted media in the Speaker Support Centre are: External HDD, CD-Rom, DVD
(data/video), USB/Flash Discs.
Speaker Support Centre (SSC)
Once your presentation is processed in the Speaker Support Centre, you are
strongly advised to familiarize yourself with the controls of the presentation
system, which is used to display the presentation. The technicians are more than
willing to explain the features of this system. The practice-system supplied is
an exact copy of the one used in the lecture room.
MAC Users
If you are a mac-user, make sure that you check-in early with the Speaker
Support Centre for your mac-presentation to be converted to a pc format. There
will not be the possibility to place a laptop in the rooms.
The Speakers' Support Centre will be open the following hours:
Friday 12 June 13.00 - 18.00
Saturday 13 June 07.00 - 18.00
Sunday 14 June 07.45 - 18.00
Monday 15 June 07.45 - 18.00
Tuesday 16 June 07.45 - 16.00
EUPO Course Speakers will receive a separate e-mail for instructions on how to
submit their presentations prior to the Congress for the presentations on
Friday, June 12th.
In the lecture room
In the lecture room, you will open your presentation, by touching the box with
your name on the touch screen. Moderators will follow the presentation on a
dedicated monitor placed in front of them. There is a mouse pointer embedded in
the presentation system, we recommend using that in stead of a conventional
laser pointer, which will be difficult to see on most projection screens.
